Act 3 | Boxing, Sitting & Diminution.

Boxing has been eeking its way into A&C for a while. Can't remember when it started. Antony as an old school boxer -- Daredevil tv show, capacity to get hit and sustain pain. Then Chess Boxing, beautifully weird combination of boxing and playing chess enlightened us to Caesar as a strategist, Antony as fighter -- smartest vs toughest. Handtape as a multi-purpose theatrical device. Antony & Enobarbus's training, boxing influenced. Muhammad Ali...Cleopatra? Ok, we're still exploring that one. Boxing as theater, tight spaces (like Skype squares). We'll see where this all continues to manifest in rehearsal and how it might shape the physical life of the play.

And then we witness Antony's first disintegration. Shame at turning shoulder and fleeing the battle, following Cleopatra. He sits. She tries to sit. Blame and shame. Cleo eventually brings him back to his senses. His diminution begins at end of Act 3. Enobarbus starts to question why his with Antony. Things are falling apart.
